Young Associates

An in-depth drawing programme for 15-18 year olds

Our Young Associates programme is open to students in school years 10 to 13 considering careers in a broad range of subjects for which drawing from observation provides an important foundation. As well as fine art, these subjects include graphic and product design, illustration, fashion and textiles, film-making, animation, architecture, photography and engineering among many others.

Our focus on drawing and skills-based teaching, distinguishes us from other art schools, and we believe that joining our programme will complement students' studies at GCSE and A level, as well as supporting applications to further and higher education including both foundation and undergraduate courses.

Saturday Programme
Weekly classes of three hours duration are held on Saturdays at the School's own drawing studios in Shoreditch and other locations in London as well as in Norwich and New Cumnock. Young Associates benefit from serious and sustained tuition in an artist-led environment, amongst others with a passion for art and drawing. Help with the preparation of portfolios is offered in a termly one-to-one tutorial, and Young Associates who have attended the summer term and at least one other term during the year, are invited to submit work to an annual exhibition of drawings held by the School in July.
