Royal Drawing School at Boswell Book Festival

Royal Drawing School at Boswell Book Festival, Saturday 12–14 May

Drop in and draw with practising artists from the Royal Drawing School at our pop-up studio in The Rothesay Room.

In its second year of collaboration with Boswell Book Festival, the Royal Drawing School will be hosting a drop-in drawing studio at Dumfries House with tuition from Royal Drawing School Year alumni and faculty.  Festival goers of all ages and levels are invited to draw from life, working from clothed models and from the art collection in Dumfries House, as well as out and about in the woods and gardens of the estate. Some of the sessions will bring books and drawing together with readings from Scottish literature, legends and poetry.
