Royal Drawing School at Boswell Book Festival

NEW FOR 2016!

Royal Drawing School at Boswell Book Festival, Saturday 7–8 May

Drop in and draw with practising artists from the Royal Drawing School at our pop-up studio in The Rothesay Room.

In a new collaboration with Boswell Book Festival, the Royal Drawing School will be hosting a drop-in drawing studio at Dumfries House with tuition from Royal Drawing School Year alumni and faculty.  Festival goers of all ages and levels are invited to draw from life, working from clothed models and from the art collection in Dumfries House, as well as out and about in the woods and gardens of the estate. Some of the sessions will bring books and drawing together with readings from Scottish literature, legends and poetry.

For further details and to book please visit the Boswell Book Festival website.

Drawing can be direct, incisive, intimate, surprising, funny or confrontational. Everyone can draw. So whether you’re 8 or 80 pick up a pencil and bring Boswell Book Festival to life with drawing!

All materials are provided free of charge. Spaces are limited so guarantee your place by booking through the Boswell Box Office. Drop-in places will be available on the day on a first come first serve basis.
