Becca Collins’ practice is a consequence of her birthplace; the once-industrial Welsh Valleys, where the land is the reason for people’s being. Observational drawing in the landscape is Becca’s practice, focusing on formal concerns – currently, the interaction between light and form - to better understand a place and its intangible qualities. This year, Becca will begin studying MA Visual Communication at the Royal College of Art, looking to further decipher the language of drawing she has developed on The Drawing Year.
