Samuel Little studied BA Architecture (First Class Honours) at The Cass, London Metropolitan University. During this time he received a commendation for his RIBA Presidents Medals undergraduate project. Whilst working for Caruso St John Architects on a number of UK-based cultural projects, he enrolled at the Royal Drawing School and embarked on an autonomous body of paper-based work. With a firm interest in space, the complementary discourses of drawing and architecture inform one another in unexpected ways; creating moments of tension, collaboration and unanticipated spatial experimentation. In 2016 Samuel was shortlisted for the Jerwood Drawing Prize with a triptych of pencil drawings completed in the aftermath of a stroke. Samuel’s ongoing practice includes collaborative and self-initiated projects in the UK and abroad.
