Foundation Year Taster Workshop
A Foundation Year Taster Workshop for students in school years 11-13 (aged 16+) or over who are interested in studying a Fine Art or Art and Design subject at Higher Education level and progressing to a career in the creative industries.
This afternoon workshop introduces students to life drawing, giving them the opportunity to develop skills working from a clothed model. Afterwards, students will take part in a group crit and go through their portfolios with the tutor, getting advice on what might make a successful portfolio. The workshop will be delivered by Foundation Year Tutor, Richard Burton. There are a limited number of places reserved for students from local schools in Tower Hamlets, Newham and Hackney. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 0207 536 9688 for more information.
Students are encouraged to attend the Open Day in the morning before the Taster Workshop in the afternoon; it is a fantastic opportunity to get a taste of The Foundation Year as well as having a look around our studios and meet current students and alumni. You can Register for the Open Day here.
The Foundation Year, run by the Royal Drawing School, is an accredited one-year course offering up to 50% of students a scholarship or fee reduction. Find out more about The Foundation Year by clicking here.
