Biography

Originally from the Black Country, Courtney is a freelance Producer, filmmaker, and content creator. Since 2014, she has worked in unscripted television, focusing on Arts, Music, and Entertainment. Recent credits include The BBC Proms, Lenny Henry’s Caribbean Britain, Judi Love: Black, Female and Invisible, and Black Classical Music: The Forgotten History.

In addition to her television work, Courtney is an emerging artist and filmmaker, collaborating on numerous screen dance projects across the UK. Her work with dance, movement, and documentary aligns with her interests in otherness, queerness, class, club culture, and disability.

Previously, Courtney worked as a producer at Nonsuch Studios, a Nottingham-based fringe theatre and arts charity. There, she played a key role in shaping the city's cultural offerings for 13-25 year olds in collaboration with the city council’s local education partnership.

In 2024, Courtney joined the Royal Drawing School as a Digital Content Producer.
