There are many opportunities for alumni to travel and to participate in residencies around the world. For the past nine years a small group of Drawing Year alumni have gone to the International Institute of Fine Arts in Modinagar, India on the Royal Drawing School's ten-week teaching and art residency programme in collaboration with Arts for India.

The teaching residency in India will take place over three months between October and December 2018. This Residency is open to artists who graduated from the Drawing Year in 2016 and 2017. The residency takes place at The International Institute of Fine Arts (IIFA) in Modinagar, India. During the three months the resident teachers will collectively teach IIFA's Foundation Students and Painting Students alongside the IIFA teaching staff. Running alongside the artists teaching time, artists will have use of a studio space at the Sanskriti Foundation in Delhi.

This residency opportunity is fully funded for four artists, this includes: travel, stipend, accommodation, visa and vaccinations. Please note travel insurance is the artists own responsibility.

Please visit the IIFA and Sanskriti Foundation websites for further details.

For artists accepted to the IIFA Teaching Residency 2018, a Q&A with former IIFA artists will be held at the Royal Drawing School this summer.

Applications are now open for the IIFA teaching residency Winter 2018, the application deadline is Sunday 25th March 2018. If you have any questions regarding your application please contact
