Bespoke Courses

There are four types of bespoke courses on offer at the Royal Drawing School. These include bespoke corporate workshops, private tuition, drawing in museums and galleries, and life drawing in schools.
All bespoke courses are taught by the Royal Drawing School faculty who are practicing contemporary artists.
Bespoke courses can be held at your place of work, in your home, in a hired space for your event, or in our fully equipped Shoreditch Studios in London.
Proceeds from bespoke courses go towards funding the Royal Drawing School’s charitable programmes.

Bespoke Corporate Workshops
We believe that everyone, regardless of skill, can benefit from observational drawing. A simple and yet endlessly multifaceted activity, drawing strengthens communication skills, builds creative processes, and equips individuals with the ability to see the world differently.
Whether your goal is to develop group dynamics, explore imaginative approaches to problem solving, or to simply inspire your team with a new and engaging experience, a bespoke corporate workshop will equip you and your team with new ways to think, see, and comprehend at work.
Our bespoke corporate workshops are suitable for all levels, interests and sectors. We have run workshops for organisations such as Selfridges & Co., Grey Advertising, Torchbox, Poke London, and the London Olympics media tent at Hackney House.
Additionally, we have hosted bespoke workshops for creative industry professionals who wish to extend and improve their drawing skills. This includes architects, engineers, animators, CAD designers and more.
Proceeds from bespoke corporate workshops courses go towards funding the Royal Drawing School’s charitable programmes, supporting a new and diverse generation of artists. Bespoke corporate workshops also provide a way to fulfil your own corporate social responsibility objectives.

Museums and Galleries
Drawing in museums and galleries is a creative entrypoint to enjoying and appreciating exhibitions on display.
The Royal Drawing School, works with various museums and galleries to design courses for the public that run alongside their current exhibition displays. These sessions allow visitors to engage imaginatively with artworks on display.
Arranging a bespoke museums and galleries course can help you to capture the attention of school-aged children or provide adults a deeper understanding of your exhibition. By discussing requirements and expectations with you, tutors at the school will work with you to devise a course to bring important aspects of your exhibition to light.
The school can also work with curators and museum teams to commissioned tailored workshops for curatorial teams and other staff members.
Our tutors are all practicing contemporary artists who come from a range of artistic backgrounds and are based throughout the UK.

As the day went on, the progression and confidence in the students’ work was amazing. All pupils took on everything the tutor said and applied it to their work...It was clear that our pupils loved the experience and will be able to take away these skills and apply it to their own work.

Life Drawing in Schools
The National Curriculum for Art and Design has an emphasis on drawing. Extra-curricular life drawing courses taught by our specialist drawing faculty are designed to complement learning at GCSE- and A-Levels and Pre-U.
The practice of drawing from observation helps students to develop their skills, build confidence in the analysis of visual imagery, and adds diversity to portfolios for applications to further study.
Drawing is a crucial route to innovation across creative disciplines and beyond, from fashion, fine art and animation to film making as well as product and graphic design, architecture and engineering.
Our specialist drawing faculty are practising artists with experience of teaching at a range of levels from school years 5 to 13, through to foundation and postgraduate level. Additionally, the school has long-standing relationships with established and professional life models who regularly work with the school.
The school is a London-based organisation. However has tutors based across the UK. Please indicate your location in your enquiry to see if we operate in an area near you.
Proceeds from our Life Drawing in Schools programme will help fund means tested scholarships on the Royal Drawing School’s Young Artists Programme for 10–18 year olds.
