Aaron Matheson

Aaron Matheson lives and works in Kingswood, Sydney. He aims to find a meaningful, sensuous engagement with the motif through painting and drawing. His practice of Buddhist meditation informs the process of making the work. Aaron leads “Drawing in the City” workshops in Sydney, and was artist in residence at Bedford Modern School in England for 3 years. He has been a finalist in the Mosman and Waterhouse prizes in Australia, and was awarded the Richard Ford travel award.
