Biography
Al Page graduated from the University of Brighton with a BA in Fine Art in 2006 and from the Slade with an MA in Fine Art in 2016. Their work is concerned with manifestations of political power; the affordances, complexity and pathology of ad-hoc forms of social organisation; protests, riots, masculinity and the dispersal of power in society. They were Studio Assistant to Anselm Kiefer in 2011. Between 2012 - 2018 they were a founding member of the Ballad of Peckham Rye, a nomadic curatorial project that organised shows in non-traditional spaces and commissioned new work from emerging artists. They currently lecture in Fine Art at UAL Camberwell, Central Saint Martins, and UCA Farnham.
