Clara Medek

Clara Medek got her first painting lessons from Russian artist Boris Birger in Remagen (Germany). She then came to London for The Drawing Year before going to Dijon (France) in order to complete her Bachelor of Comparative Literature and French Studies. She is currently studying Drawing and Printmaking at the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle (Germany), focusing on lithography. She has been selected for the Jerwood Drawing Prize (2004) and the Gilchrist Fisher Award for landscape painting (2010) and is regularly taking part in print exhibitions throughout Germany.
