David Gardner

David Gardner’s pictures are representational pivoting on abstraction; they use line, form and colour as the core language and deal with themes of presence, absence, memory and trace. The work is dreaming of a space that can be all spaces at once; a simultaneous present, a palimpsest of imagery that borrows from over 3000 years of art history forged with contemporary and personal references. David previously graduated from Central Saint Martins with a BA in Fashion Design and is originally from Newcastle.
