Guy Shoham

Guy Shoham is a graduate of the Bezalel Academy in Jerusalem, and in 2002 he attained an MA with distinction from the Chelsea College of Art. In 2003 he attended The Drawing Year at The Prince's Drawing School (now the Royal Drawing School). Shoham lives and works in London and has had solo shows in Geneva, Vienna, Tel-Aviv and London. His work is held in private collections around the world. Guy's work embraces kitsch in an intentional attempt to elevate the discarded to the desirable by emphasising fake glamour and luxury. The resulting paintings raise questions about authenticity and fakery, reality and reflection, construction and destruction.
