Katie Marland

Katie Marland graduated from Camberwell College of Arts with a First Class Honours in Illustration in 2019, spending a year working in Book Illustration and developing her personal practice before embarking on The Drawing Year in 2021. Her work is obsessively detailed - often drawn using fine mechanical pencils - and research-led, taking inspiration from museum and gallery collections, esoteric texts, folklore, myth and legends. Through her work she seeks to capture a sense of the eerie and the mythical.
