Melina Doumy

Melina Doumy graduated from Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art and Design with a BA in Fine Art in 2018 and joined The Drawing Year in 2019. Melina’s practice is rooted in drawing from memory and observation, sourcing a rich bank of experiences from her Mediterranean heritage as well as imagery from art history and archaeology. Interested in the function of mythical narratives as metaphors for the human nature, she creates imaginative spaces inhabited by creatures shrouded in ambiguity.
