Biography
Nurit David Born was born in Tel-Aviv, Israel. She studied at the Art Teachers’ Training College, Ramat-Hasharon and on The Drawing Year at The Prince's Drawing School (now the Royal Drawing School) in 2002 and is now a leading Tel Aviv painter. David was awarded Israel’s major painting prize in 2006 and in 2007 her retrospective was mounted at the Tel Aviv Museum. Other awards include The Beatrice S. Colliner Award for Young Artists (Israel Museum Jerusalem), the Jacques O’hana Prize for Young Israeli Artists (The Tel-Aviv Museum of Art), The Sandberg Prize for Israeli Art (Israel Museum Jerusalem), the Minister of Culture and Education Prize for Art and Design and The Rappaport prize (Tel-Aviv Museum of Art). David lives and works in Tel-Aviv and taught for many years at the Beit-Berl College School of Art and the Bezalel Academy.
