Sally Pannifex
- Alumni, 2002
Biography
Australian born Sally Pannifex studied at NSW/COFA before qualifying as a nurse to fund her ongoing art practice. After attending the original drawing marathons she was accepted on the first Drawing Year in 2001 at The Prince's Drawing School (now the Royal Drawing School). Her focus has expanded from life drawing to include portraiture and gestural drawings from life. Her art has graced two album covers for pianist/composer Robert Mitchell and her self-portrait was exhibited in the Ruth Borchard Competition show in 2011. More recently she makes colourful portraits from quick sketches and memory. Inspired by the Royal Drawing School's Drawing Clubs, she hopes to develop something similar in her locality of Mitcham/Merton.
