Zoe Savory

Zoe Savory is drawn to subjects that offer a moment of reflection or escapism, whether that’s escaping into a landscape or fleetingly embodying the sitter in a portrait. She took up the practice of drawing from life as an undergraduate, where the life room was a place of quiet visual contemplation which allowed a different way of seeing the world. Prior to The Drawing Year she has exhibited in group shows in Salford and London, including in the Sunday Times Watercolour Competition.
