Digital Studio - Evening | Life Drawing: Drawing Life

Explore drawing as a practice of inquiry and discovery in this live online drawing session with Dilip Sur.

Experience a drawing class like no other.

These evening drawing sessions, broadcast live from the Royal Drawing School studios, are an opportunity for students to experience the dynamic and dramatic possibilities of the life room from home. Join students online from across the globe to draw from the model, theatrical sets, dancers, and more, with something new each week. Using a range of drawing practices, our expert tutors will guide you through a series of exercises over the course of each session.

In this two-hour life drawing session led by tutor Dilip Sur, students will explore drawing as a practice of inquiry, exploration and discovery, a way to encounter a deeper sense of self. The session invites concentration, contemplation and courageous engagement with the subject before us. Working with a live model in a range of short and long poses, students will develop their observational drawing skills while also exploring imagination and personal interpretation through Dilip’s expert guidance. This is a relaxed, exploratory session suitable for all levels of experience.
