"Imaginative, it is an Endeavour to Restore what the Ancients called the Golden Age

William Blake, from his Notebook, 1810

Dynamic and reflective drawing approaches combine in this William Blake inspired pilgrimage. Innovative uses of materials are encouraged - watercolour with gesso, printed emblems, cosmos drawing within the circle, and folded map drawings and diagrams. Each student will reinvent their own mythology or reimagine a spiritual journey. Students will draw inspiration from themes including The Artist and Portal, Innocence and Experience, The Visionary City, The Mythic Landscape, and A Blakean Tree of Life.

Please note this course has an emphasis on the use of imagination and memory which can at times elicit difficult feelings for some.
