Catherine Goodman – New Paintings: Hauser & Wirth Artist in Residence 2018
Catherine Goodman, painter, and the Royal
Drawing School’s Founding Artistic Director, discusses her five-month residency
at Hauser & Wirth Somerset in 2018, and the body of work arising from this
period of focussed painting and drawing, leading to her solo exhibition, EVE,
at the gallery in spring 2019. This talk will consider the unique influence of
residency settings on the development of work, and offer insights into the
potential for artist residencies to shape artistic practice.
