Marion Coutts – Seeing is an Action like Aiming or Hitting

Marion Coutts is an artist and writer. She works in video, film, sculpture and photography. Her work has been exhibited widely, including solo shows at Foksal Gallery, Warsaw, Yorkshire Sculpture Park and The Wellcome Collection, London. She has held fellowships at Tate Liverpool and Kettle's Yard, Cambridge. Her book, The Iceberg, a memoir on art, work, death and language, was published in July 2014 and has been listed for the Guardian First Book Award. She was married to the art critic Tom Lubbock and is the editor of an anthology of his essays on drawing, English Graphic, and his memoir Until Further Notice, I am Alive. She lectures in Art at Goldsmiths College.
