Weekend Drawing Marathon
We are delighted to be running our very popular drawing event in the new year, The Drawing Marathon!
This will take place in our two new Manetti Shrem Gallery Studios, located on the ground floor of our Shoreditch campus in London, on Saturday 15th and Sunday 16th of January, 10am - 5pm.
You are welcome to join us whether you’re a beginner, or at postgraduate level and beyond. This opportunity is for anybody who wants to immerse themselves in the collective energy of an intensive drawing course and improve their drawing skills.
Students will experience a variety of tutors, models, and materials and be introduced to new ideas and different approaches to drawing over the two days. The schedule will be in the form of four classes (two per day), consisting of:
- Life Drawing: Observation and Imagination
- Drawing Human Anatomy
- Experimental Printmaking in the Life Room
- Enduring Motifs Through Time – Life Drawing
How to enter
To win a place on The Drawing Marathon, you must be 18 years of age or older and sign up to our e-newsletter, or if already a subscriber, update your preferences, by the 6th of January. You can of course unsubscribe from our newsletter at any time.
We will then choose names at random through a simple draw from those who have entered. You will be notified via email on 7th January if you have won a place on the drawing event, so make sure you check your inbox around that time.
Entry to this competition is now closed. Congratulation to all those whose names were selected in the draw!
We look forward to seeing you in our new studios soon!
If you do not wish to sign up to our newsletter, you can also enter the draw by emailing admin@royaldrawingschool.org with 'Please enter me into the draw for a place on the Drawing Marathon' in the subject line.
T&C's: Please note that as this is a promotional event, there will be some photography and/ or filming taking place on the day, which we may use on social media, our website and in digital and printed publications to advertise our public courses. If you accept your free place on the drawing weekend, then we will take your attendance as confirmation that you are happy to have your image used in this way.
We reserve the right to change the dates and details of the event if necessary, including a change in government guidance in light of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic. We will aim to rearrange the event and notify entrants to the draw of the new date and details as soon as we are able.
