EASY EASELS POP UP STUDIO

Shoppers, drawers and pencil pushers, you are invited to draw in-store at Selfridges with young contemporary practising artists from the Royal Drawing School. This is a free tutored life drawing session drawing from a clothed model, open to all levels. There will be a combination of both short and longer poses so you can draw for the full session or draw and dash with a 10 minute pose.

Drawing can be direct, incisive, intimate, surprising, funny or confrontational. Drawing offers many different benefits – from enhanced artistic expression to increased concentration and focus, and an ability to think and communicate in different ways. Everyone can draw.

This course is run as part of the Selfridges’ Work It campaign, re-thinking how we see our work life. So join us to pick up a pencil, flex your visual muscles and reclaim your lunch break at our Easy Easels Pop Up Studio on Lower Ground.

This free drawing session will run on the 13th and 14th of May from 12.30 -2.30pm in the Ultralounge on Lower Ground opposite Dolly’s Café (follow the Work It arrows on the floor to find us). One-on-one tuition comes from faculty of the Royal Drawing School and all materials are provided free of charge. Spaces are limited so pre-book your free place here to guarantee your spot. Drop-in places will also be available on the day on a first come first served basis.

ROYAL DRAWING SCHOOL CENTRAL

Royal Drawing School Central is our new studio complex, a sanctuary of calm, creative contemplation and intensive drawing just across the street from the Selfridges Duke Street entrance. Royal Drawing School Central offers drawing-based courses ranging from life drawing to graphic storytelling, printmaking and painting. Open to all levels and ages. Courses run every day and evening including weekends.
