Katia Lom

Biography

Originally from Switzerland with Czech and Argentinean roots, Katia is an artist and award-winning filmmaker with a background in dance. She holds a BA degree in Studio Art from Swarthmore College and received an MA in Directing Animation from the NFTS. Her films embed archives within cinematic narrative landscapes to repurpose their function from historical records into spaces for reflection and commemoration. Alongside these creative endeavours she works as an Archive Producer on documentaries for national and international broadcast.
