Sandie Rochfort

Sandie has been an HR Director over 20 years, with strong generalist experience working within High Education, Infrastructure, Construction, PE backed organisation, Charity/Non-Profit, Security, Insurance, Loss Adjusting, Technology, FMCG, Soft and Hard FM sectors. 

She has been instrumental in managing global transformation projects, within SME’s and large blue-chip organisations both in the UK and in the USA, but also running smaller HR teams in charities, and HE in the UK 

The piece of work Sandie is most proud of in her career to date is her work in closing down the Athletes Village, and 2012 Olympic Games construction project prior to the 2012 Olympic Games - it’s also the project that was the muddiest but that she had most fun on!  

Sandie has been working with The Royal Drawing School for almost 2 months now, and will be reviewing the HR function to see what improvements can be made to enhance the employee experience and benefit the School.

Sandie was born in Ethiopia, where her father was serving with the Foreign Office, and has lived in Africa, India, The Middle East and Europe.  She is a widow with 2 daughters and 3 grandchildren and a diva cat called Rosie.  When not working in HR she enjoys the theatre, music of all kinds, but is a keen opera fan, museums and galleries, cinema, travelling, cooking and reading, but most of all spending time with my family.
