Biography
Aaron Matheson works against what is habitual and keeps his painting in touch with a sense of limitless potential in a poetic sense; To paint a sphere or a face as if he has never seen one. To make a wholly new thing, never seen before, in the humble medium of egg tempera, acrylic or ink.
Matheson's condition of multiple sclerosis is itself a series of well practiced limitations placed on his body, yet within this emerges a new imperative: To take each painting to its own freedom from limits.
