Anna Rumsby

Anna is a Suffolk-based artist whose work explores portraiture through life drawing and painting from memory. Influenced by her Kenyan childhood, her practice is rich in colour, texture and narrative.

Biography

Anna spent her childhood in Kenya where she formed an interest in colour and textiles. Prior to joining The Royal Drawing School she studied Children’s Book Illustration at The Cambridge School of art and worked as an illustrator.

 

She currently lives in Suffolk where she continues to explore portraiture, drawing from life and painting from memory. Alongside her own practice she teaches at The Royal Drawing Schools Young Artist club in Norwich.
