Biography
Bek Ashton (b. 1998), studied Illustration at Glasgow School of Art (2020). She creates enigmatic images playing between self-referential fact and fiction. Her work, characterised by a dark tone with humorous edges, celebrates our dense, overlapping, and often uncanny existence. Her drawings are often created in reaction to her own writing, a poem or a memory. She constructs and deconstructs, drawing and redrawing, playing with texture and gesture, inviting the viewer to sink into the ephemera.
