Clover Godsal

Biography

Clover Godsal, (b.1998, London) graduated from the University of Cambridge with a First Class Honours in Arabic and Middle Eastern Studies. She worked for the Foreign Office before joining The Drawing Year in 2023. In her work, Clover aims to explore the strangeness and pathos of human life through combining observation with imagined and remembered elements drawn from dreams, literature and train windows. She finds herself repeatedly drawn to empty post-industrial landscapes, crows, and arching shapes.
