Dorry Spikes

Biography

Dorry Spikes is a Welsh artist from Ceredigion. She has lived and worked abroad within local communities and her artwork often responds to her practical immersion in these different places. She is motivated by a desire to nurture wonder and connection with the world around her. She does this by devoting attention: drawing and painting her personal experiences and visual-journeying.

Dorry has attended art residencies in Spain, Italy, Turkey, the US and Ireland and greatly values becoming part of an international community of like-minded artists. Locally, she hosts free, self-led drawing socials in her hometown of Aberystwyth.
