Biography

Dougal graduated in 2017 from Goldsmiths with a BA in Fine Art before joining the Drawing year in 2021 where he was awarded the ACS drawing prize.

Dougal’s drawings and prints engage with ecology and archeology and take inspiration from walks in the enigmatic landscapes of Britain. Piecing together relationships to place, identities and histories, his work is underpinned by notions of myth, local folklore, and the concealed. His latest works explore wetland spaces and celebrate the diversity, sensuality of plant and human ecologies
