Biography
Aisha Farr studied Ancient Greek and English Literature before coming to the Royal Drawing School. Anxiety about the fragmentariness of the past - and also the present - is part of her reason for drawing. She also thinks that quiet or ‘subconscious’ thoughts (unthought-knowns) are not much valued on the whole, but that good drawings can communicate something of what it is to be a person in the world, and she hopes to continue trying to do this with her work. After all, a record of trying is all that anyone ends up making anyway.
