Becca May Collins

Biography
Becca May Collins studied at Plymouth
University, before attending the Royal Drawing School and the Royal College of
Art. Her work explores the development of sentimentality towards a site,
concerned with highlighting the emotional relationships with home and place in
an increasingly globalised world. She works with specific sites over a
prolonged amount of time, drawing on-location to gain knowledge and
understanding, before re-constructing these scenes from memory in the studio.
Her images are warm and considerate, speaking a gentle narrative that reveals
more about the landscape. Becca has work in public and private collections and
is a New Contemporaries Artist for 2019.
