Catarina Cardoso

Catarina Cardoso graduated from the University of Manchester with a degree in Music in 2016. She has since worked in events, as a piano teacher and as Studio Assistant to Lilly Mäetzig of Mäe Ceramics. As a multidisciplinary artist, her practice swims in the intersection between sound, drawing, painting and ceramics, allowing her to explore and project the liminal, emotional landscapes she inhabits. Since joining The Drawing Year, she has reinvigorated her love for surface and portraiture, and has developed a need to transcribe movement and gesture with observational drawing at its core.
