Biography

Dorry Spikes graduated from Kingston University in 2005 with a First Class Honours in Illustration. Her clients include Penguin, The Folio Society and Algonquin Books, with paintings commissioned by individuals in India, the USA and Switzerland. The Drawing Year has enabled Dorry to explore drawing beyond the parameters of her usual practice: she is particularly interested in memory and the uncanny. Her current work explores her childhood in rural West Wales and recent encounters as a sailor and an itinerant.
