Biography
Emily Hill is from Ballymena, Northern Ireland. She studied Painting at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen. Emily’s work examines childhood memories of her cultural upbringing in Northern Ireland through motifs and symbolism. During The Drawing Year, she has developed a new confidence and excitement through drawing figures within spaces, and this has resulted in the creation of multiple perceptions, emotions and energies in her work. Selected exhibitions include Compass Gallery and The Royal Scottish Academy New Contemporaries 2015.
