Biography
Phoebe Barnicoat studied Painting at Glasgow School of Art and Japanese Painting at Kyoto Seika University. Her work has been exhibited in the Fleming Collection and Guimarães noc noc festival. She was awarded a Winston Churchill Fellowship
for founding and directing Glasgow Open House Festival. Phoebe views her art as relics that remain after the making process, which she compares to casting a spell. In her work, fragmented bodies are seen through layers of history, offering a glimpse into the subconscious.
