Sara Anstis

Sara Anstis was raised on a small island off the west coast of Canada. She has a BFA in Sociology and Studio Arts from Concordia University, Québec and an MFA from Valand Academy, Sweden. Lovers feature prominently in her images and installations which take form through an intuitive exploration of memories and desires. In her current work, her unruly ‘primarily female’ figures can be found engaging in revelry and living tender moments within landscapes, built from imagination.
