William Brickel

William Brickel studied Fine Art Photography at Camberwell College of Arts (UAL), graduating in 2017. His work is influenced by the domestic and experienced situations throughout his life. He works from imagination, recalled memories and observation. The accumulation of these elements can produce somewhat disjointed aspects to familiar forms, such as the human figure. Overall however, it creates a truer representation of what he sees and recalls. He believes that the distortion is a product of subconscious and conscious decisions made while drawing from the mind.
