Biography

William Goldsmith studied Communication Design at The Glasgow School of Art, and before studying at the Royal Drawing School worked as a writer and illustrator. He taught Illustration at the British Higher School of Art and Design in Moscow between 2017-2021. Collage has played an important role in his work on The Drawing Year, recomposing fragments of discarded drawings and notes to explore themes of memory, mapping, place and language.
