Biography
Emma Inge studied Fine Art at The Ruskin School of Art, University of Oxford, specializing in sculpture and film. After graduating she worked in the field of Special Effects and Film and this experience informs her practice at the Royal Drawing School. She is interested in exploring the effects of man’s intrusion on a landscape. Her work is based on structure and she builds an image by working on a surface and disrupting it, breaking it down and re-building it. She tries to capture the structure inherent in a landscape, placing one shape against another to form a coherent whole.
