Biography
Esme McMillan-Scott (b. 2001, Cheltenham) graduated from the University of Brighton with a First Class Honours in Fine Art Painting in 2023. Her work centres around ideas of intimacy, and necessary seclusion, memory, and a mindful appreciation of the mundane. With influences from observation as well as imagination, Esme's work uses intentional space and a specific use of colour and line to explore these themes, and the poetic idea of the ‘bliss of solitude’.
