George Williams

Biography

George Williams graduated from the University of Edinburgh with a First-Class Honours in Painting in 2020. Interested in the kind of constructed environment found in films, video games and Renaissance paintings, Williams is concerned with creating spaces which hold the potential for a story to unfold. By working from paper maquettes alongside the life model and paintings in London’s collections, he explores the picture plane as a window into an alternate and purely synthetic reality.
