Biography
Harry Clitheroe graduated with a BA in Painting and Printmaking from The Glasgow School of Art where he first began exploring the relationship between the human figure and the imagined spaces they inhabit. Harry’s figurative works often start with text - a quote, a lyric, an unsent letter to a loved one. Observational studies are collaged with drawings from film/found photographs. Through a repeated process of drawing and erasure his subjects are bent or warped, until the picture eventually finds its place on the page. Harry currently lives and works in London.
