Iona Roberts

Iona is a Scotland-based painter whose work has been shown widely, including solo shows. She won the Richard Ford Award and teaches at Glasgow School of Art’s Open Studio.

Biography

Iona studied BA Painting at Edinburgh College of Art and graduated in 2015 with a First Class Hons degree. She lives in Scotland and regularly exhibits in galleries, including the Compass, Morningside, Kilmorack, Royal Academy, London Art Fair (annually), Royal Scottish Academy (Stevenson Painting Award), Arusha Gallery, and many more. She has been offered solo shows and had a solo show at the Compass. She has been awarded prizes such as the Richard Ford Award 2017 and residencies working in remote Scottish locations and overseas, often mid-winter. Iona has taught at the Glasgow School of Art Open Studio since 2020.
