Isobel Plent Das Gupta

Biography

Isobel Plent Das Gupta graduated with a BA in History from the University of Bristol and completed the Correspondence Course at Turps Art School. Her recent works have found their form through an open and exploratory process, shaped by intuitive decision making and a haptic relationship to paint. She is concerned with figures and forms in their environments, blurring the boundaries between the human and the non-human, the animate and the inanimate. She creates scenarios that explore everyday mythologies, desires and absurdities.
