James Allen

Biography

James Allen studied Fine Art Printmaking at BA and MA Level at Canterbury Christ Church University in between completing The Drawing Year at The Prince's Drawing School (now The Royal Drawing School). Selected Group Exhibitions include the RA Summer Exhibition, Jerwood Drawing Prize, Lynn Painters Stainers Prize and The Pastel Society.

The need to record and expose the consequence of time lies at the core of James’ work. This can transcend from the human form within architecture, to vessels flowing through water and on land and the permeating environment of the countryside.
