Biography

Joanna Mulji was born in Krakow, Poland, and at the age of 11 she moved to Norway. After completing a Foundation Diploma in Building Arts at The Prince of Wales School of Architecture in London, she went on to study Fine Art: Painting  at The Glasgow School of Art. She has spent time in Japan learning Japanese paper making, Washi-suki, and incorporating traditional methods of Japanese painting into her own work. After returning to the UK she joined the then newly started Post Graduate Diploma in Drawing at The Royal Drawing School. Joanna is a figurative painter who divides her time between England, India and Poland. Her works have been exhibited in Scotland, England, Japan and Poland.
